Skerries Beach

WELCOME TO SKERRIES BEACH

I'm pretty much ready to live in this place. And I was fortunate enough to have come on the Saturday of their music festival. This consisted of local teenage irish bands singing their hearts out on the streets with little guitar holders open for tips. I also got to catch some irish step dancers practicing trying to raise money for their school.

Skerries beach is a little known about town, not much to see but the beach is GLORIOUS. I went on a perfect day. I think it hit around 80 degrees and the wind was soft and gentle so that you could Irish music pounding away with the sounds of the ocean. I spent the whole day there and it was only, 30 minutes off my dorm room and 3.20 euros to get there. Well worth the money. You step off the bus, past a house and BAM you're on the beach. And the best part... no tourists. Except me anyway. And another family I think.. but for the most part its a quite little town on the coast.

They're also known for their giant windmills, but since I was so absorbed with the beach and the ocean I didn't get time to see it. For another day I guess!

Long Awaited Post

Why hello Americans and fellow Europeans!

I'm loving it in Ireland and I'm having fun exploring. Been having depressed lapses as of late with the mayhem that is "Starting afresh" in a new country but overall I've been having a good time. I've bookmarked places I've wanted to go see in Ireland and so far on the "top 25 lists" I've done most of the things I actually want to see in Dublin. I've seen the huge spire, Malahide castle, Dublin Castle, Dublinia, National museum of History, National Art Gallery, and am going to visit Galway this weekend (super excited).

I also bought a bag today with a bunch of sheep on it.
BEST BAG EVER

it says "baaa" multiple times through the inside.

....I love it.
